Before the course started we were set the task of a summer sketch book on the theme 'On Location'. I was really reminded of Spring Watch where they always go over to Simon King 'on location' somewhere amazing. So I decided to make my cat Nelson my intrepid reporter, and record some of the locations of his life. This is a pencil sketch of one of his favourite locations - the sofa! I used the artist T A Steinlenn as inspiration. He did a lot of work which featured cats, including the sketches at the top of this page. |
